BRIEF PROFILE OF KWAME ANTWI-BOASIAKO Dr. (h.c.) - PRESIDENT OF THE GHANA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT  

Kwame Antwi-Boasiako Dr. (h.c.) is a versatile professional  and an experienced Chartered Accountant with over 35 years of working experience in the areas of commerce & industry, banking, reinsurance, consultancy, education and the Judiciary, among others.

He worked in various capacities including:

Director of Finance and of Audit for Judicial Services (July 2015-May 2022)
Finance Director, Central University
Financial Accountant, Mainstream Reinsurance
Internal Auditor, Consumer Credit (SSB)
Deputy Branch Manager, Consumer Credit (SSB), Kumasi
A proud student Kishinev State University-Moldavia, Europe and Donetsk State University-Ukraine, Europe, where he obtained his MSc. Finance (1st Class Red Honours) degree in 1994.
He speaks fluent English, Russian, Akan and Ga Languages.

He served on several boards and committees at Judicial Service, including the Staff Code of Conduct, Finance & Administration, Budget and Audit Committees. He was also a Board member of Judicial Training Institute.
He served as a member of the Audit Committee of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development from 2017-2021
He served on the Board of Regents of the Central University from 2000-2015.
He is currently the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Department of Feeder Roads.

Kwame was ACCA Ghana Branch President in 2007/8. He is a member of the Admissions Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and the Honorary Auditor of Soviet Trained Ghanaian Graduates Association.

Kwame is currently the President of the Ghana Institute of Management (GIM).

He is a Director of e-Crime Bureau Ghana, Finlaw Consulting Ltd, God's Grace Opticals Ltd, HMI Management Services Ltd and Lemet Construction Ltd.

Kwame, is a staunch Methodist who serves on several boards and Committees of the Methodist Church of Ghana, including Chairman of the Human Resources Advisory Board, Member of the Finance & Development Board, Member of the Emoluments Committee as well as a Member of "Conference" - the highest decision-making body of the Church.

To crown all these achievements, the Commonwealth University Belize in 2015 awarded him an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Administration (honoris causa) for an exemplary achievement. The citation accompanying the Honorary Doctorate read "By transforming your fortunes from a poor doughnuts peddler and a truck pusher at Kaneshie market between 1978-1981 after your Elementary School, and through private studies writing and passing your GCE Ordinary Level with distinction as well as passing the Advanced Level of the West African School Certificate Examinations to enter the University on scholarship and later becoming a Chartered Accountant and the President of ACCA Ghana and Ghana Institute of Management.
